Restart #4673223
That above number may be an exaggeration, but Ill tell you, Im not ever giving up. I need to remember that there are so many things that have changed mentally and internally for me that you just dont see on the outside.
I got down to 256 about a year ago and have gone back up to 286 again. Ridiculous and wayy too much. Ive also noticed difficulty moving around like I want to. CrossFit alone isnt going to do anything if I don't get my diet in check. So, lets do this!! I would love to be at 250 by mid May for my girls trip.
CrossFit has changed me so much. I am so much more mentally strong that I ever have been and I am able to for the most part, keep that inner voice quite when she gets negative. (Inner hater, I call her). That inner hater is reinforced by people that have wronged me, and negative life experiences.
Well, shes an idiot. That inner hater. I have done things that have suprised myself, and gotten through some pretty tough shit the last couple of years. Above all else, I have yet to lose my mind. I love my job, my family, and the life that I have. Im cleaning up the bad parts of my life a little bit at a time.
Ive been on this journey for some time and have had several setbacks to include a thyroid that won't work, personal issues that would wreck most people, and my stupid back issues that are always there, waiting to flare up!!
The purpose of this new blog is to stop focusing on the failures and start working toward success. I really want to focus on other areas that are seriously lacking; my diet. Even though its much better, its not awesome, and that is evidenced by the fact that I am not losing weight. The holidays always start a downhill slide into eating like crap and consuming more sugar than I should, which then makes it hard to get back on track.
With a kiddo with some serious health issues related to food allergies, there is no better time to really clean things up than now!!!
Ive got a short term goal right now, Id like to lose thirty pounds by mid May. I am going on a trip and would really like to drop some weight for that. So, thats the plan. I need daily accountability so I plan to weigh in daily, track food, and move as much as possible and of course CrossFit as much as possible.
So, day 1 is today. Here is the meal plan for the day, and I was up most of the night with a sick kiddo, so I will be tired no matter what!!
Day 1
bulletproof coffee
lots of water!
organic PB and Chocolate granola 1/2 c, with 1/2 c greek yogurt
chicken fried rice (paleo version) 1c
apple
banana
almonds
Paleo meatballs and carrots
-standing/walking for 3 hours at BFG
I try to eat only when hungry and try water first. On CrossFit days I obviously eat much more, but on days that I dont I am often not hungry too much, but I force breakfast everyday.
Here is the focus for the next three months:
1. Eat majority Paleo
2. Drink only red wine or cider, no beer, soda
3. Avoid bread and sugar like heroin
4. CrossFit as much as possible (my back is not happy right now so thats an issue)
5. Daily weigh ins to track/stay accountable
6. journal on the blog and focus each day on why this is important!!
7. Move as much as possible. Do something physical everyday
